March felt like it crept up on us here at Middle Ground, it feels like we just celebrated the new year, and somehow we're already starting the second quarter of 2022. One of the reasons it felt so fast is because we have been so BUSY. Last month we admitted 12 kids for inpatient care! We got a ton of tiny babies as well as a whole bunch of kids who were swollen with kwashiorkor. We continue to experience a staggering increase in cases compared to the past few years, but we are holding firm and pressing on in our commitment to investing in families in Haiti.

These babies are fighting for their lives at Middle Ground tonight. Soon they will be fully healed and ready to return to their homes and villages, but nothing will ever be the same for them. As a result of their involvement with Middle Ground, these kids will go to school for the rest of their lives! Their parents will start businesses that will provide for their families and ensure that none of their children will ever go to bed with an empty belly again.

These early days are agonizing, the pain is unimaginable, but we know that this season is soon to give way to something incredible. Because of the support of our donors in March, we made a difference for 12 more children and the countless people who love them.
